Rogue River Half Day

The Nugget Falls / Powerhouse trip offers the most exciting white water section of the entire Rogue River. Paddlers will take on a handful of class II rapids and fun wave trains before running the premiere rapids, Nugget Falls and Powerhouse (Ti’lomikh Falls). The adventure begins in Gold Hill, only a few miles off of I-5 Exit 35.

Rafting: We offer one of the wildest rides on the Rogue River. This trip is safe enough for beginner paddles from age 6 to 86, but exciting enough to get the most experienced of white water enthusiasts hearts pumping. JSO offers a number of different options for taking on these rapids:

Stern Drive Paddle Rafting: The best option for beginners and families. Your guide will have a frame mounted in the back of the boat with oars, while you help navigate with paddles.
Paddle Boating: This option is best for those looking for a little more of a challenge, as more responsibility is on the paddle crew. Your guide will give paddle commands and steer from the back of the raft with a paddle. The paddling team must work together with power and precision to successfully navigate rapids.

Swimsuits / Clothes you don’t mind getting wet in
Any snacks or refreshments you wish to bring (Reusable water bottles are recommended)
Sandals or water shoes - Not flip flops - shoes without a heel are easily lost on the river

SAFETY: Safety is our number one concern. All of Jefferson State Outfitter’s guides have years of river experience and training under our belts. Most of us are locals who have a endured a few hundred trips. We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two, and we know this to be true: “Good Judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.” Luckily for you, we’ve already been through some misjudgment blunders, and we are still here to tell the tales. Meeting Location: Our standard meeting location for this trip is just off of I-5 at the Gold Hill Sports Park. Special pick up locations can be arranged from your AIR BNB, campground, or hotel for a fee.
